The Selling Yarns Bursary Support is kindly sponsored by Indigenous Business Australia and the Ian Potter Foundation.
The bursaries are to support Australian Indigenous artists and art workers to travel to Darwin to take part in the Selling Yarns: Australian Indigenous textiles & good business in the 21st Century conference at the Museum & Art Gallery of the NT, Sunday 13- Monday 14 August 2006. In addition artists will be encouraged to take part in the Territory Craft funded Selling Yarns workshop and demonstration day on Saturday 12 August.

These bursaries do not provide cash. Bookings and payments will be made on your behalf by conference organisers. Limited funding is available so apply early.
To apply for funding you must meet the criteria listed below. You will only be considered for assistance if you intend to attend the Selling Yarns conference. Priority will also be given to those who would also like to take part in the Selling Yarns workshop and demonstration day on Saturday 12 August at Territory Craft.
Lodging an application does not guarantee a bursary will be awarded to you. Applications will be assessed and awarded by the Selling Yarns Advisory Board.

(Note: Our funding sponsor has set a priority for supporting as many Indigenous artists and art workers as possible to attend this conference. However they have also indicated part funding may be made available to assist non-Indigenous arts workers to accompany their artists to this event. For this purpose the organisers may assist some non-Indigenous art workers with travel and registration costs, however accommodation and meals will not be covered.)
