Honours student, University of Wollongong
Vincent Bicego is currently doing my BCA (Honours) in the faculty of Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong. He is researching the fibre art being made by members of the Boolarng Nangamai Aboriginal Art and Culture Studio, particularly in association with their bush tucker and medicine garden. As such, the combination of traditional and contemporary fibre practices is central to my research. I am also investigating how cultural exchange programs are (re)connecting Southeastern fibre artists with new and faded heritages as part of these innovations. Dr. Diana Wood Conroy and Dr. Penny Harris are supervising his work.
