Alice Whish: Biography

Artist,

Alice Wish is an established and respected jeweller. In addition to being a maker of delicate and intricate works, she is involved in teaching jewellery in tertiary insitutions and consults to the higher education sector accross visual art and design. She has presented solo exhibitions throughout Australia and New Zealand and has been an active participant in group exhibitions, nationally and internationally since 1984. Alice has work in private and public collections including the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra, the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery in Launceston and the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. Alice has a Master of Art in gold and silversmithing from RMIT and a Master of Higher Education from UNSW. Alice currently manages Definite Style an internet retail site for contemporary jewellery.
