Using the National Museum Shop as an example, this talk will focus on how Indigenous groups can market their products to general gift and souvenir outlets. Beginning with a description of the benefits and limitations of merchandising in these sorts of shops, it will move on to listing tips to ensure that sellers receive a positive reception and develop a good working relationship with retail managers and buyers.
The talk will be illustrated with examples of current examples of successful products and ideas.
